I have recently left my job as an Affiliate Manager for 7Reach, I found that managing affiliates from various countries needs to be more streamlined and with a communication system that would allow me to service and help my affiliates regardless of their experience of just getting started with learning to make money online or if they are experienced web publishers.

Unfortunately the way Affiliate Networks service their affiliates (from the top performing affiliates to the bottom earning affiliates) it makes it very hard not only for the affiliate manager to do his job but also to the new affiliates as well.  This is a problem that if never addressed the people that work in the internet industry will never properly adapt and grow at the necessary pace to keep up to an ever evolving affiliate marketing industry.

I have created a new kind of Affiliate Network that I believe fixes many of the communication issues I had to deal with as an affiliate manager.

This new network will have 2 web locations, the first one is in a form of a blog that works as the main home base and portal to the actual affiliate web site were communication and business will be worked from a social media platform. The blog page was created through Blogger to show new web publishers that they also can get started with their online careers using ready available web publishing tools that are free and effective. Using blogger also gives me an easy RSS feed and follower application for members to quickly stay up to date with new posts and Network alerts or hot offers.

There are many approaches you can have as an Internet marketer and  on this post I would like to talk about a simple first step that anyone can take today if they wanted to get started and that is creating a free blog.

 I use many web publishing platforms and over-blog is a great one along with blogger for first times users on trying out publishing a blog.The first thing you need to do is figure out what industry niche you want to get into with your blog.

How money is made on the Web?

Hi everyone and for any first time visitors to my Blog welcome! This post is mostly aimed at those who don’t quite understand how money is made online and I’ll do my best at keeping it as simple as possible. 

I find a lot times that even some of the web publishers I meet also don’t know how to generate money with their blog or website, along with not knowing what affiliate marketing is and how it works.

Here’s a graph that shows how the money is exchanged through people’s hands online.

It’s looks simple enough but to somebody that you explain this to they are confused by the fact that some of the links on the ads that visitors click into or they themselves have clicked into are offering something that seems to be free of cost to the customer.

For the most part the link that offers some service or product for free is really free, but the immediate question arises “If what’s being offered is free, then how does the merchant make money to pay a commission to the affiliate and what the hell is an affiliate?

An Affiliate is someone who has a website or has the knowledge of how to promote a product online. They in turn are affiliated with a network like 7Reach Media where has one of their members (Affiliates) can choose from variety of ads with different advertisers and promote those ads online.

The Affiliate network get’s all the ads for the affiliate and pays the affiliate for their work all in one large payment via check, bank wire transfer and payment systems like Paypall, Xoom,  etc…

How money is made from something that seems to be free is somewhat confusing with reason and here’s a fast explanation. There’s two ways’ that a banner (advertisement on a website) will pay a affiliate (web publisher) for web users that click on it. The first way is very simple; the visitor to the affiliate website will click on the ad and buy something on the web site that follows the ad that he clicked on.

The other way is the user clicked on the ad and filled out a registration form and didn’t pay anything but yet the affiliate got paid for it. The question is why the advertiser is willing to pay for something like that?

The answer is cost per action advertizing also known as C.P.A marketing. The objective of the advertiser is not to sell something right away but instead increase it’s on visitors to its website were once the web user is there the advertiser has already things in place to generate money from their own visitors.

That’s basically it, they give you something for free to keep you coming back to their website and in turn increasing their chances for their visitors to click on the ads they offer or upgrades to the free service they provide.

Getting started Online

Hi everybody, This will be the first of a series of posts on how to get started with an online career. The Advise I give here and future articles under the title of "The Internet Professional" comes from my own personal experiences as an online marketing manager.

The first thing to get started with on your Internet career is having a  e-mail account. I recommend the the provider I use the most Gmail.

Google is the king of free online tools that anyone that cares to take the time to learn and use. lt deliverers all you need to get started on a successful career. Gmail is heavily linked with almost everything Google has to offer , providing its savvy users with an array of communication tools to advance their internet goals.

Google profiles in my opinion works best has an online portfolio that shares your web activity with all who I either do business with or intend on working with. How active and how much I know about the person that signs up as one of my affiliates is very important. Simple things like at least having a picture of who I'm working with or planning on doing business with is something everyone looks at but doesn't probably put to much thought into it.

Let's place the scenario of somebody having a job interview while wearing a photo of a dog or some cartoon character. That's the first impression I get when first interviewing an affiliate applicant and I look at their profile picture of some goofy icon. Along with seeing if he or she have any social media websites I can follow them on or add them to my own, their profile picture is the first thing I take into consideration of how serious is a person about making money online. If they seem invisble online then I consider them not to be a real internet professional.

Once you start leaning how to use Gmail and organizing your contacts you will see other cool applications like: Google documents, google Buzz , etc.. These application work very well as either furthering your marketing objectives or simply help you promote your website. One of the reasons I like Gmail and Google is that everything is safely stored online, saving you space on your computer and protecting your data from being lost.

A great asset to have is an Android phone, gmail is optimized to work with these cell phones. I can get a glimpse of my incoming gmail and open the ones that seem important so I already know what e-mail i need to respond to once i'm on my computer and if the required response wont take too long to write i can just reply right from my phone.

Google is still hottest internet company to be involved with and it will give you everything you need to make money online. It's a corporation and some people including my self have a certain destain for large corporations but I wouldn't waste my learning marketing tools outside of Google until I have learned everything Google has for everyones use for FREE! After all they do have more parteners and applications that will get your the web traffic you are looking for and want to service the best way possible.

I have been a little busy doing some hands on research on developing a website from scratch using SEO techniques that will later on be the main tool I will use to develop and test out traffic driving methods.

 I’ll keep you guys posted on this project as it develops a little further along. Everything we do online starts with a website site somewhere and I can’t over suggest you all to invest some time of your own on developing a website of your own. If you can speak another language then definably look into what kind of website you could break in to another country. If you only speak English don’t let yourself be discouraged by the high competition in the US market. Here’s a search result I made for a website idea for example, “free stuff online” this would be a perfect name or a similar name to create a website that could have great content to generate leads on Survey offers for the USA, UK , Australia, Canada, South Africa. New Zealand. In this case I was looking to build a website for USA traffic.

Getting stuff for free is a very good niche to build a website on but just having a good niche is not enough. Taking a closer look at the design I see multiple things that are bad about a website that should have much more traffic that it shows on its search results. There are no social media icons for the visitor to potentialy follow for start. If a website shows it has an account with twitter for example it will be more a familiar thing  for the visitor and familiarly means more trust. The other thing that’s wrong is the wide screen of the template. Why limit your sites to just users with wide screens? The pink color also gives the user the notion that its website for girls and the overall design doesn’t make the website look like a fun website to be visiting. The type a traffic that would convert well on this type of niche will be people without a lot of money and chances are it a young age demographic. A website of this type should look fun and be well established in diferent social media to further its traffic possibilities.This is all for now and I highly suggest everyone to read some material on web usability and social media.
